potty training update
When we got to the cabin in Big Bear, Katherine really got into her potty training book. It was the only book she wanted to look at all week. She seems to like using the patty chair, although she certainly does not do it all the time. This seems to be working better than waiting until they're old enough to put up a bunch or resistance. I think it will take a while, but at least it's not a battle.

Sounds like a wise decision...Basil really want snothing to do with the potty now...I think i missed that window.
I think it's amazing that she is "reading" a book before she can speak and getting something out of it. That is powerful. What else could be taught this way? I wonder.
good point. Dad told me if kids have over 100 books, it is an indicator of whether or not they will be good readers. The study said,the amount of time parents read to their kids at an early age did not relate to their abilities later on. Maybe you'll come up with some good books along that line!
